Java wood products are made from the wood of Coffee Trees that have become dormant. The dormant trees are removed and replaced with a new tree to continue the growing cycle.

The first step is to debark and hand sand selected pieces. The second step is to kiln dry for one month. By the end of the process the wood is very hard and resistant to splitting. This makes it very easy to clean, hardwearing, and able to withstand the beak from a large parrot!
