Policies
Our goal is to provide you with the finest domestic bred bird, raised with love and affection. To do this, Cuckoo's Nest Aviary has adopted a few policies.
  1. Our breeding pairs are tested for avian diseases before entering the breeding program. (Pacheco's, Polyomavirus, Psittacosis and PBFD).

  2. In order to ensure your new addition is in perfect condition and eating well on his/her own, we have adopted a policy where we will NOT sell unweaned babies. Please do not ask for exceptions as the health, safety and well being of your bird is far more important.

  3. We restrict access to our nursery and breeding facilities for health and security reasons. This eliminates the possibilities of a visitor transmitting diseases after being around other birds, as well as eliminates any undo stress for our breeding pairs.

  4. For the safety of our baby birds their wings are clipped immediately after fledging.

  5. We fully guarantee our birds.

  6. We make every attempt to ensure our birds are placed with people that have the best interest of the bird. We will not knowingly sell our birds to individuals whom we feel will not provide a good home.

Guarantee
We take every precaution to ensure our babies receive proper nutrition with an environment free of disease. We fully guarantee that the birds have no symptoms of disease or parasites at the time of sale/shipping.
  1. If you suspect a problem after receiving your new addition, please contact us immediately.

  2. In the unlikely event a bird should become ill or die within the first 30 days, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately. Our guarantee is valid only once the bird has been examined by an avian/certified Veterinarian within the allotted time. If determined the bird died as a result of neglect, malnutrition, injury, improper care, or mistreatment, then the guarantee does not apply. Based on the Veterinarians diagnoses (written report) we will, at our discretion, replace the bird with one of the same kind/value or buy the bird back for a full refund.

  3. Take every precaution when introducing your new addition to other pets you may have. Ensure your home is bird friendly to prevent accidents. Refunds do not apply if death is caused by means other than disease.
